A 32-hour blended summer school on Synchrotron Radiation properties and applications, organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
This is the 1st international Summer School organized in Greece on Synchrotron radiation, its properties and applications. Synchrotron radiation is produced in electron accelerators and possesses very attractive properties which render it unique for conducting non-destructive research at the nanoscale, in a plethora of scientific fields including physics, chemistry and catalysis, biology, pharmaceuticals, materials science, geology, cultural heritage, and more. The aim of the program is to train young scientists, researchers in industrial R&D departments as well as experienced scientists who want to expand their research using Synchrotron Radiation. The tutors are world-renowned experts in the field of production and applications. Hands-on experience in data analysis is provided via lab-courses, and successful participants are awarded 2 ECTS. The School is organized by the School of Physics and is supported by the ESRF and the Greek Synchrotron Users Network.

Όλα τα προγράμματα που διοργανώνονται από τα Κέντρα Επιμόρφωσης και Δια Βίου Μάθησης (ΚΕΔΙΒΙΜ) των δημόσιων πανεπιστημίων ολοκληρώνονται με τη χορήγηση επίσημου Πιστοποιητικού Επιμόρφωσης. Οι πιστωτικές μονάδες ECTS αναγνωρίζονται και μοριοδοτούνται σε προκηρύξεις του ΑΣΕΠ και του δημοσίου τομέα σύμφωνα με τις εκάστοτε ισχύουσες διατάξεις.
